Welcome to the ScreenCraft 3D Workspace! This application helps you plan and visualize projection mapping setups in a 3D environment. You can add projectors from a professional library, create various screen types, and see realistic projections with projective texture mapping.
From Library: Click "Add from Library" to choose from a comprehensive database of professional projectors with accurate specifications including brightness, resolution, and throw ratios.
Generic Projector: Click "Add Generic Projector" to add a standard projector with default settings that you can customize.
Once added, projectors appear as 3D objects with visual frustums showing their projection area.
Choose from multiple screen types:
Click on any screen to see its properties in the panel on the right side, where you can adjust dimensions and type.
From Library: Click "Add from Library" to choose from a comprehensive database of professional cameras with accurate specifications.
Generic Camera: Click "Add Generic Camera" to add a standard camera with default settings that you can customize.
Viewing Through Camera: Double-click on any camera in the scene to open a window showing the view from that camera's perspective. This helps you plan camera angles and compositions.
Select any object by clicking on it, then use these keyboard shortcuts:
You can also drag the colored arrows/handles that appear on selected objects to transform them along specific axes.
The 3D workspace features realistic projective texture mapping:
This helps you preview how your projection setup will look before physical installation.
Auto-Save: Your work is automatically saved to browser local storage as you make changes.
Save Project: Save the current scene to a named project on the server.
Load Project: Browse and load a previously saved server project.
Export JSON: Download your project as a JSON file for backup or sharing
Equipment List: Export a detailed list of all projectors and their specifications
The measurement tool helps you measure distances between points in your 3D scene:
This is useful for planning projector placement, checking throw distances, and verifying screen dimensions.
When you select a screen or other object, the Properties Panel appears on the bottom-right. Here you can:
All changes are applied in real-time and auto-saved.
